The Phillips Loggers softball team began their 2015 season with a tournament in Wisconsin Dells where they finished 2-1. They got their Marawood North Conference (MNC) season underway with a 10-2 home loss to Athens Monday, April 13.
After a loss in the Regional Championship game last year, the Loggers will look again to be in contention for an MNC title this year – though they will have to get past Athens and Chequamegon to do so. Those will be no easy tasks as they have to find replacements for two seniors from last year's squad.
