Local groups encourage community members to speak up on healthcare choices

A sudden car accident leaves a victim comatose; the family doesn't know what choice to make with life support. An elderly lady has a stroke; her children aren't certain what decisions she would have made.

These are precisely the reasons that National Healthcare Decisions Day (NHDD) was started, according to Price County Community Bioethics Committee member Beth Hahn.

April 16 is NHDD, a day highlighting the topic in the hopes of sparking those critical conversations between family and loved ones.
