Antique Appraisal Show to be held during Heritage Days at Wisconsin Concrete Park

On Saturday, May 16 from noon until 3 p.m., Mark Moran will be appraising antiques brought to him during Heritage Days: Get Hooked on History at Wisconsin Concrete Park. A portion of the $15 appraisal fee will be donated to the Friends of Fred Smith, sponsors of the event, for educational programming.

Heritage Days is a two-day event, the first day of which is dedicated to field trips by area fourth graders whose social studies curriculum is Wisconsin history. School kids are engaged by facilitators at over 30 interactive, hands-on history stations set throughout the park. On Saturday, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. along with Mark Moran’s appraisal show, the event will be expanded with an additional five hours of continuous music, demonstrations of tools and skills from centuries past, live foodways exhibits, interactive history stations, ethnic food, and authentic historical re-enactors from the fur trade era through the 1850s.
